Over the years FOSI have completed many tasks and projects in the estate and continue to do so with the regular commitee meetings and the PTT (Practical Task Team) meeting fortnightly to do jobs around the estate, from litter picking to balsam bashing!
1. To assist in preservation, conservation, protection and improvement of St Ives Estate, Bingley, a grade II* listed historic park for the benefit of the public.
2. To advance the education of the public in general in the physical and natural environment, conservation, protection and improvement, local and national heritage and history, natural history and biodiversity of St Ives Estate, Bingley and the surrounding area and to promote science in respect of the same; and
3. To provide and/or assist in the provision of facilities and/or services for recreation and other leisure time occupation in the interests of social welfare with the object of improving the general conditions of life of the public by the preservation, promotion, support, maintenance, assistance and improvement of St Ives Estate, Bingley and its immediate environs.
4. To promote, organise and facilitate co-operation and partnership working with statutory and other relevant bodies in the achievement of the above purposes within St Ives Estate, Bingley.

The garden, situated in the grounds opposite the cafe on the right hand side.
The Stumpery, under construction in the area next to the garden, stumperies were very popular in victorian times with ferns, hellibores and shade loving plants in between the stumps.
